Why Derek Jeter Made it To the Hall of Fame

Derek Jeter wasn’t any regular baseball player he was a leader, a captain, and most importantly a good person both on and off the field. He never made anything about him he would always focus on others. He is one of the most well known athletes in the MLB for his kindness and is a role model for so many people all over the world. He is best known as ¨Re2pect¨ because he shows so much respect for the game and the people playing it. He is one of the best people you will ever meet that shows so much for one thing. Some players get very disrespectful at times during games because they don’t agree with something, but Derek isn’t like those people he continuously puts in his best effort and treats everyone the way he would want to be treated. The way he was around others was amazing but even his playing on the field was unbelievable. Derek put up some really good numbers in his seasons playing with the Yankees. He had the most hits of any Yankee player with 3,465 career hits, and was sixth on the all time in MLB history for his hits and first among all playing shortstop. He also received many awards like 14 All-Star selections, five gold glove awards, five silver slugger awards, two Hank Aaron awards, and a Roberto Clemente award. Derek Jeter was one of the best players ever known in the MLB and that’s why he was named to be Captain of the New York Yankees and also to be named to be in the Hall of Fame.
